Three founders who lived through the friction of volunteering — on both sides of the table — and decided to build the infrastructure that should have existed all along.

Our Story

Having been on both sides — volunteering and running student-led projects — we have seen the unique yet unresolved challenges facing SSAs and those who wish to volunteer.

Nathan ran Project Hope SG, where reliance on existing tools like WhatsApp for applications and Google Sheets for logging hours made processes logistically chaotic. Kuan Hao ended up volunteering at Migrant & Me by chance, referred by a friend — the founders simply had no bandwidth to focus on volunteer recruitment, despite volunteers being essential to their operations. Meanwhile, Rushil and his teams at Club Rainbow and the National Kidney Foundation were constantly bogged down by rescheduling and high churn rates stemming from mismatched volunteers. The common thread: volunteering had become a hassle.

Through conversations with many in the space, and from living these experiences firsthand, we understand that SSAs want recurring, highly motivated, and skilled volunteers who stay for the long haul. There is little point in training someone who leaves a month later. On the other side, volunteer opportunities should not be dominated by well-known SSAs with marketing budgets — they should be tailored to each individual's skills, interests, and availability.

At impactnet, we introduce an AI layer to volunteer matching and management, so Singaporeans can give back to society more effectively.

Mission

Connect every student to a cause worth showing up for.

Singapore has more than a hundred thousand students completing VIA every year, countless more adults who want to give back, and thousands of social service agencies that need them. The connection should be effortless. We're building the infrastructure to make it so.

Vision

A Singapore where goodwill never gets lost in a spreadsheet.

We envision a civic layer for Singapore's volunteer ecosystem — where matching is intelligent, coordination is seamless, and the gap between intention and action closes permanently.

Our Values

What we believe in.

Outcome over output

We don't measure success by features shipped. We measure it by lives touched, hours volunteered, and communities strengthened.

Built with, not for

Every feature in impactnet was shaped by real feedback from students and social service agencies. We're building with the community, not at a distance from it.

Privacy by design

We only collect what's needed. Your data is never sold, never used for advertising. Privacy is a feature, not an afterthought.
